NIMA INTENDS TO AWARD IDIQ CONTRACT TO SPOT IMAGE FOR COMMERCIAL IMAGERY AND SATTELITE DATA The National Imagery and Mapping Agency intends to award, on a sole source basis, an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for commercial imagery and satellite data from SPOT Image Corporation in Reston, VA. Commercial Imagery includes all items in the SPOT commercial catalog. Satellite data includes direct satellite-to-ground downlink of "SPOT SATELLITE DATA" to a Deployable Downlinking Ground Station (DDL) currently known as Eagle Vision. Digital SPOT data is available in panchromatic and multispectral imagery processed from various levels, such as radiometric correction and geometric corrections. The above digital data includes various levels of licensing, such as Single user; DoD-Title 50; and Third party-Coalition Forces. The Deployable Downlinking Ground Station (DDL) is able to receive and process data in support of U.S. military requirements. The SPOT satellites are owned by the French space agency, the Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES). All activities involving United Statesremote sensing customers are the responsibility of SPOT Image Corporation (SICORP), Reston, VA. The proposed contract is for a one (1) year period, with four (4) one-year option periods. Respondents may provide descriptive literature indicating a capability to meet the requirements of this synopsis to the National Imagery and Mapping Agency, Attn: PCO, MS D-5, 4600 Sangamore Road, Bethesda, MD 20816-5003. In accordance with CBD numbered Note 22, all responses received within 45 days of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government.
