The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Fuels Development, through the Regional Biomass Energy Program, plans to conduct a series one-day, state-level workshops to educate key public officials and the general public about ethanol as a transportation fuel. The Department of Energy and the Regional Biomass Energy Program invite proposals to assist in setting up, delivering, and reporting on these workshops. The Western Regional Biomass Energy Program, on behalf of the Regional Biomass Energy Program and the U.S. Department of Energy, will administer the contract. All of the workshops are to be scheduled for July through September of 1999. Your proposal should verify that you have sufficient personnel with time available to meet the schedule and other requirements detailed in the Request for Proposals. Funding available for proposals is anticipated to be no more than $184,000, subject to availability. The Request for Proposals document is available on the Internet at http://www.westbioenergy.org.
