The Postal Service intends to issue a Fixed Price Contract for exterior renovations to the Bronx General Post Office located at 598 Grand Concourse and 149th Street in the Bronx, NY. The contractor must provide all material, labor, tools, plant, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, and all other services and facilities necessary to complete the exterior renovations including, but not limited to, replacement of monumental windows, replacement of fixed windows and doors, replace and repair/restoration of glazed masonry facade, roof replacement and reconstruction of coping stones, replace of terrace waterproofing and topping, construction of a new handicap accessible ramp, additional ventilation for garage area, and all incidental work described in the contract documents. Completion time for the entire project is 450 calendar days to be indicated in the Notice To Proceed. The estimated construction cost is between $7,000,000 and $10,000,000. Final execution of the contract will be subject to approval by the Postal Service Board of Governors.
