The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Manhattan has a requirement for the Modernization of Clinical areas 5 North and 5 West located at: DVAMC, 423 East 23rd Street, New York, N.Y. 10010. Work will include but is not limited to: Demolition, Asbestos Abatement, General Construction, plumbing, HVAC, electrical,mechanical work all in accordance with VA specifications and Contract drawings. 2. Interested General Construction Contractors are invited to submit their comprehensive company profile outlining all qualifications and experience that demonstrates their cost-effective competancies as well as successful completion of similar projects. Company Profiles must be received by 7/10/99. The cost range for this project is $3,000,000. to $5,000,000. SIC 1542. 3. Timeline for this project allows for two approaches: Concurrent construction oftwo (2) wards within 540 days, or, construction of each ward separately within 300 days each (total 600 days)- 45 days are allowed for submittals. Contractors selected after preliminary review will be asked to provide a complete technical and cost proposal for each approach based upon a site visit and VA specifications and drawings. The Specification package will be available o/a 7/15/99 . Contractors must send a non-refundable certified check or money order for $75.00 made payable to; Department of Veterans Affairs.
