Y -- BONNEVILLE TURBINE INTAKE FISH RELEASE PIPES SOL DACW57-99-B-0003 DUE 072999 POC Glenn Nishida, 503/808-4604 Two complete and identical installations in two adjacent turbine intake units are required. Each system consists of the following: Furnish and install approximately 400 feet of 8 inch diameter pipe for fish passage. Pipe materials used include epoxy lined seamless steel, PVC, and seamless stainless steel. Piping system includes sweeping bent curves, valves, and accessories. Furnish other small size non-epoxy lined steel pipe valves and accessories. Fabricate and install a fish trough. Troughs are 7 x 3 x 4 feet. Fabricate brackets, supports, clamps and many other miscellaneous items. All fabricated items are steel. Metalwork in contact with the fish transport system is to be painted with epoxy paint. Furnish and install airlines and controls for operating the system. Furnish and install 15hp turbine pump and 1 hp submersible. Install tailrace release system on the tailrace face of the dam using divers. Electrical work consists of furnishing panels, breakers, a 2kva transformer 480v -- 120v, switches, wiring, and appurtenances. The fish troughs will be placed on the powerhouse intake deck. The piping will be installed down through an intake gate slot and in the turbine scroll case area. All piping is to be attached to brackets and supports mounted to the concrete structure. All work will be done in the dry except the tailrace release system which will be installed using dive crews. The Contractor shall be required to commence site work under this contract within 60 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and shall complete installation work no later than 25 October 1999. The Contractor shall be required to remove the Contractor installed equipment during a Government approved period in the month of February 2000. An optional bid item includes the reinstallation of the equipment in October 2000 and its removal in January 2001. Tentative bid opening date is 29 July 1999. Estimated cost range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses.
