ESTIMATED ISSUE DATE: 28 JUN 1999. ESTIMATED COST RANGE: Between
$1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Project AJXF 99-9005 consists of
providing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all
operations necessary to install new Standing Metal Roofing System
(SSMR), including canopies, east lean to, west lean to, and the Main
Hangar Concrete Arch roof. Remove and reinstall lightning resistor rod,
alter/renovate interior, floor, wall and ceiling finishes, replace
existing signage, construct new interior offices and locker rooms,
install new fire rated partitions and doors, upgrade and refurbish
North and South hangar doors. North tail door opening including their
operating systems, install exterior mechanical yard screen walls,
replace and repair HVAC, mechanical systems, replace and repair
existing plumbing systems, install new fire sprinkler system, replace
interior lighting, replace and repair electrical system to meet class
1, division 2 requirement and office and alter storage shed in Building
3641 north of Hangar 10 located at Andrews Air Force Base, MD. The work
includes but is not limited to: Provide new roof structural support
system, SSMR aluminum panel, snow guard including anchor clips, hooks,
fastener assemblies, gutter, downspout, provide roof vent. Relocate
existing AFFF foam fire suppression spray nozzles and all associated
piping. Provide removal and disposal of lead base paint encountered on
the work area. Provide professional training on the various systems
and equipment installed. Remove existing temperature control system and
install new automatic temperature control system including provision
for its implementation and future expansion. Control calibration,
commissioning and start up demonstration is required. Total contract
performance period is 270 calendar days. The proposed procurement is
being issued as an unrestricted acquisition. Award will be made to the
offeror who the Government determines can best accomplish the
necessary work to satisfy the requirements set forth in the RFP in a
manner most advantageous to the Government. The Government reserves the
right to award a contract to other than the low offeror. Offer
guarantee required. For information purposes, the applicable Standard
Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 1542. Copies of the

longer be accepted. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to
download a copy of the solicitation from the web site listed above.

registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). If your firm

does not restrict the Government in its ultimateacquisition approach,
nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any bid/proposal
