Holloway, Contract Specialist, (301) 227-5130 The purpose of this modification is to reissue a synopsis which was previously issued, but contained inaccurate dates. This synopsis is intended as a replacement to that issued on 6/11/99. The dates contained in this version are the correct dates: The National Imagery and Mapping Agency intends to issue a firm fixed price contract to replace the Maury Hall roof, substation and crossover. The solicitation will include 1 basic line item. Solicitation number NMA401-99-R0013 is hereby issued as a Request for Proposal, prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 15, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11. The magnitude of this requirement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 1761 "Roofing, Siding, and Sheet Metal Work". The business size standard for this SIC CODE is not more than $7,000,000 for the concern, including its affiliates. The resulting contract will be for the contractor to provide all labor, material, supplies and equipment necessary to replace existing roof systems for the following: main roof; penthouse roof; crossover roof; and substation roof. New roofing systems shall be loose laid EPDM with stone ballast. The approximate total roof area is 41,000 SF. Work shall include the following: demolition of existing main and appendage roof systems; application of loose laid EPDM system, including insulation; roof drains reparation; installation of metal flashing; modification to roof access ladder, and masonry work. The roof systems shall possess a 15 year warranty.
