labor, equipment, materials, and appliances necessary to plan, design
and perform all operations in connection with the installation of air
conditioning systems in the Child Development sections of Building
P-10785 in accordance with the performance specifications and drawings
and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. The actual
design, layout, sizing, equipment types and installation of the
air-conditioning system shall be the Contractors responsibility.
Contractors shall be required to provide certified documentation that
they are an authorized manufacturer installer of the air condition
equipment and that their Application Engineer is Manufacturer
certified. The contract type shall be "Firm Fixed Priced Construction".
This will be an unrestricted procurement issued under the authority of
FAR subpart 19.1006(b)(1), Small Business Demonstration Program, SIC
code 1711, Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning. This procurement is
estimated to be between $250,000 -- $500,000. The anticipated
issue/posting date will be on or about 14 July 1999. Note: The DUE DATE
for the Invitation for Bid (IFB) shall be 30 days after actual
issuance/posting date (The IFB will be posted on Fort Drums web page).
All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be
considered. The IFB will not be mailed out and no mailing list will be
maintained. The entire IFP package will be available for downloading
from the Fort Drum web page. The web page address is:

sources wishing to submit a bid are required to monitor the Fort Drum
Contracting web page for any/all amendments to the IFB. Failure to
respond to any amendments may render the IFP as non-responsive and
thereby rejected. The IFB must be supplied in hard copy form to the
Directorate of Contracting, Fort Drum, NY, no electronic bids will be
