System to extend polish life up to 12 months, to be suitable for all high quality CR39, high index, and polycarbonate polish. System to remove heat from the polish without coming into contact with chiller elements, to be self-contained within one unit, mounted on wheels, and have minimum polish reservoir capacity of 10.5 gallons. Housing will be constructed from stainless steel and will have external chiller and pump power lights, coolant and polish temperature gauges, flow control system air pressure gauge, and coolant low level warning light. Filter media will be single nylon bag. Filters will be reusable with average life expectancy of one year. Bags will come in variety of micron sizes and will be in a cylindrical housing that can be easily removed from the machine for cleaning. System will support minimum of six surfacers or twelve spindles. System will provide each surfacer independent polish flow and an electrical connection so that the polish flow can be operated from the surfacer. Pumping system will ensure constant agitation, fully variable pressure, and volume control to meet all requirements in wide diversity of applications. System will utilize pinch valves and not solenoids to control polish flow. Entire system will not require more than 800 square inches of floor space. System will be 220 volts, 60hz, single phase, and 20 amps. System will have separate fuses for chiller, pump, ventilation fans, and RCD device or ground fault interrupter will protect entire electrical system. 2. Filtration system, Model PSI 993-2T water filtration system to be used in conjuntion with the fining process. System will have two separate water tanks mounted on 1.5 inch wheels with minimum capacity of 45 gallons to facilitate settling of suspended CR39 particles. The tanks will be divided into two separate wells with 5 inch by 1/2 inch guarded spillways to allow water to flow between settling compartments. One of the tanks will have a reusable cloth bag filter to stop large contaminates from entering the water supply. System will utilize three 500 gallon per hour pumps to circulate water in required directions. System will use two separate filter pods that will be maximum of 20 inches high with a minimum of 7 filters in each pod. The filters will be attached to cartridge clusters to facilitate removal and installation of filters on one integrated unit. Filters will be 50 micron pleated, minimum of 9.75 inches long, 2 inches in diameter. Filters will be reusable with an average life expectancy of 4 to 5 months. Pods will be electro-polished for corrosion resistance. Pods will have fail-safe lids requiring a minimum of 12 fastening devices and will be pressure rated to handle up to 150 psi. Filter pods inlets will be located below the outlets to avoid accumulation of air pockets and to utilize 100% of filter media. Entire system will not require more than 1,260 square inches. 3. Filter chamber, Model 993-5 for use on Model 993-2T filtration unit 4. Filter cluster, Model 993-15 for use on Model 993-2T filtration unit 5.
