Luke AFB has historically contracted for electrostatic dissipative flooring and Chemically Resistant Urethane (CRU) coatings at various locations and environments throughout the base. Over the years, we have experienced a variety of problems, such as joint compound failures, high concentration of salt leaching, and moisture related problems causing a variety of coating failures, and lost of bonding between the coating and concrete surface. While we_ve had a degree of success with these types of coatings, Luke AFB is interested exploring other alternatives and coating solutions which may better satisfy our requirements.
