Tokasz, 410-997-6214 The contract for architect-engineer services, with no guaranteed amount, will be for two years, with individual work orders being issued. Each work order will be negotiated as an individual project. Projects will consist of architectural and engineering services for repair and alteration work in existing post office locations and site adapt construction under the USPS Building Design Standards. Work orders for any one project cannot exceed $100,000, and the annual limit is $500,000. The contract may be renewed for three, one-year periods. The total amount of work ordered over the five year period may not exceed $2,500,000. A minimum contract value is $5,000. Firms which meet the requirements of this announcement are invited to submit: (1) a completed Standard Form (SF) 254, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire, (2) a completed Standard Form (SF) 255, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project, and (3) supplemental supporting data. Forms submitted must bepostmarked not later than July 30, 1999 addressed to D. W. Tokasz, Purchasing Specialist, U. S. Postal Service, Facilities Service office, PO Box 701, Columbia, Maryland 21045-0701 (physical address is: 10500 Little Patuxent Parkway, Suite 200, Columbia, MD 21044-3805). Please reference Solicitation # 232098-99-A-0044. The selection will be conducted by using the submitted SF 254s and SF255s. Interested firms with more than one office must indicate on their SF 255 the staffing composition of the office in which the work will be performed. Consideration will be given to interested firms responding to this advertisement according to the foregoing instruction in the following order of preference: 1. Firms located within the Columbus District Area (Zip Codes 430-433, 437, 438, 456, 457); 2. Firms located in the State of Ohio; 3. Out of State. Firms will be considered local only if their sole office is in the local geographical area or they have a local branch office and all the architectural design, coordination, and management of the project will be performed in that office. There is no restriction on the geographical location of consultants. Firms must have the use of AutoCad Release 12 or higher; staff or consultant must be State of Ohio licensed architects and engineers; firms or consultants must have a minimum of licensed number of staffing consistent of two (2) architects, one (1) civil engineer, one (1) electrical engineer, one (1) mechanical engineer, and one (1) structural engineer. Computer capabilities and expertise is a must criteria. Performance histories on previous Postal Service projects and other compatible type projects as well as past performance will be considered. Selection criteria will take into account the number of contracts for any individual firm to a maximum of two (2) contracts or any combination of contracts at the same time with the Postal Service. The contract contains a requirement for firms to provide evidence of current errors and omissions insurance of $200,000 per claim. Participation of Women and Minority-Owned Businesses is encouraged. It is prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm contingent upon or resulting from award of a contract for this project.
