J -- SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE FOR 1.5 T GENERAL ELECTRIC MRI SCANNER SOL NHLBI-PS-99-464 POC Gina M. Cianflone, Contract Specialist, (301) 435-0363; Christopher Belt, Contracting Officer, (301) 435-0366 The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and potential technical capability of businesses to provide support for the requirement as outlined below. The National Institutes of Health, National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), Division of Intramural Research (DIR), Laboratory of Cardiac Energetics (LCE) has a requirement for service and maintenance for a 1.5 T G.E. MRI Scanner. Specifically, the Contractor shall provide full service and maintenance for system 301496MRCARDIAC MRI to the NHLBI, Laboratory of Cardiac Energetics (LCE). The hours covered shall be Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to Midnight. This will include the following: 1) Full time onsite technical engineer, 2) 2 hour onsite response, 3) 30 minute telephone response, 4) Remedial service 8:00 a.m. to Midnight, 5) Cosmetic repairs, FMI and software upgrades performed during PM hours, 6) 95% uptime guarantee. After hour coverage: The Contractor shall provide off hour coverage (no charge for parts, hour charge for labor) 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The on-call service engineer shall be on the site within three (3) hours of the NIH placing a telephone service request. Interchangeability of parts is required, (NRCC Wash C8) (Oct 1992). All replacement/spare parts and supplies to be furnished by the Contractor under this contract shall be guaranteed to be equal in all respects (including performance, interchangeability, durability, and quality) to parts specified by the OEM. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification Code is 7378, size standard $18M. The NIH intends to negotiate a 1-year contract with four (4) subsequent 1-year options. Firms must provide information that provides evidence of their capability to meet the above requirements.
