The FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire = Engineering=20 and Technical Services in support of the F-18 aircraft and associated=20 equipment. The proposed procurement is for five (5) tasks, 32170, = 32171,=20 32172, 32176, 32286, for a total of 120 man months of service as = currently=20 estimated by the Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service = Command=20 (NATEC). The basic period of the proposed effort will commence on 1 = October 99=20 and will continue through 30 September 00. A one (1) year option = period, if=20 exercised, will commence on 1 October 00 and will continue through 30 = September=20 01. An indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity labor hour type = contract is=20 anticipated. This effort will be covered by a new contract and/or a=20 provisional extension to the existing contract. This covers the = Government=92s=20 minimum needs for this period. The solicitation will contain = specifications=20 for Contractor Field Service Representatives as appropriate. Services = will be=20 provided to the Government of Switzerland to members of the Swiss Air = Force at=20 numerous locations . The eventual contract action is for services = which the=20 Government intends to solicit and negotiate with the McDonnell Douglas=20 Corporation under the authority of FAR 6.302-4. McDonnell Douglas = Corporation=20 is the only supplier of these services at this time. This firm is the = Original=20 Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the only known source with the = required=20 technical and engineering expertise, =93in-plant=94 support, and = requisite data=20 base to perform the required services. This notice of intent is not a = request=20 for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their = interests and=20 technical capability to respond to this requirement. Interested = parties who=20 contend they are technically qualified should submit, within forty-five = (45)=20 days from the publication of this notice, specific factual data = including but=20 not limited to technical resumes, corporate management experience and = other=20 pertinent information as so desired, to be used as an evaluation basis = to=20 determine competence to successfully perform the required services. = All=20 technical proposals received within the forty-five (45) day notice = period will=20 be considered by the Government.
