The work will include the following approximate quantities: Streambank stabilization on the right bank of the Missouri River, between miles 753.9 and 753.5, which is located in Dixon County, Nebraska. The primary structure will be a peaked revetment (breakwater) covering 1030 linear feet. This includes 915 feet of structure running parallel to the bank, about fifty feet out in the river, and 95 feet of structure connecting it to the bank. In addition, 520 feet of bank will be armored, and 80 feet will be buried revetment. Excavation will be required to trench in some of the bank armor. The total amount of stone is approximately 8670 tons and the total amount of gravel/spalls is approximately 13 cubic yards. This solicitation is unrestricted and open to both large and small business participation. Contractors interested in inspecting the site of the proposed work should contact the Area Engineer's Office (Al Kreisler), Fort Crook Area, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, P.O. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 75 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. The plans and specifications are available on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. It has been determined that the number of Compact Disks be limited to one (1) per firm. Plans and Specifications will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
