This project calls for providing all resources necessary for repairs and renovations to the Airfield Main Lighting System and for repairs and renovations at the Assault Strip Control Tower, to be completed at Dyess AFB, Texas. Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, replacement of runway edge lights and series lighting cable, replacement of distance remaining signs, and installation of lighted wind cones. Installation of a new ductbank with pull boxes paralleling Taxiway H, and for installation of a new fiber optics control cable for control of the Assault Landing Strip lights from the Main Control Tower. New lighting control panels shall be provided both in the Main Control Tower and in the Assault Landing Strip Control Tower for the existing Assault Landing Strip lighting. New Taxiway J and Drop Zone constant current regulators shall be provided to replace the existing regulators. The electrical service entrance and the building interior electrical distribution system in the Assault LandingStrip Vault shall be replaced. The "minor construction" portion of the work shall include the installation of concrete surface water inlet structures with drainage piping bored under the taxiway for surface water to eliminate water standing on the West side of Taxiway H.
