The Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) Systems Program Office, Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, Florida, intends to issue a contract to McDonnell Douglas Corporation, A Wholly-Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company, on a sole source basis for production of JDAM lots 4 and 5 in accordance with their competitively proposed Production Price Commitment Curve (PPCC). An immediate award of an early partial Lot 4 quantity is planned, with an additional Lot 4 quantity planned for award later this year. A previous synopsis was issued 5 June 1995, addressing the proposed approach of downselecting to a single contractor for award of EMD Phase II, Low Rate Initial Production lots and receipt of the PPCC for lots 3 through 5. A class Justification and Approval for the sole source award of all production contracts was obtained. In accordance with this Justification and Approval, a Notice of Contracting Action is published.
