potato Research Unit, East Grand Forks, MN. Kettle shall be made of all
stainless steel parts per AISI 304 specification and all mild steel
parts are sand blasted to white metal prior to receiving two coats of
high quality stainless steel pigmented epoxy paint. The average
consumption can be based on a produced-to-steam ratio of 15:1 (for
steam time up to 30 seconds). The peak or maximum flow rate will be
1,700 pounds per hour (at the start of steam time). The required boiler
size shall be 50 B.H.P. The average air consumption is 1 cu. ft. per
minute, free air delivered at 100psi. The convection shall be 1/2" NPT.
Water consumption shall be up to 12 GPM and convection 1" NPT. Drive
Motor: 1/3 HP, 230/460v, 60H2, 3PH Control Panel: 120V, 60HZ, 1Ph
Peeling data: Total vessel volume: 5.3 cu ft. useful volume: 3.2 cu.ft.
