AB Biodisk North American, Inc. will provide the following items: 1. Thirty-six (36) packs of 1-0168 -- Azithromycin -- 3600/strips, 1-0868 -- Ciprofloxacin -- 3600/strips, 1-0758 -- Chloramphenicol -- 3600/strips, 1-0958 -- Clindamycin -- 3600/strips, 1-1058 -- Erythromycin -- 3600/strips, 1-1258 -- Gentamycin -- 3600/strips, 1-1658 -- Naladixic Acid -- 1658/strips, 1-2258 -- Tetracycline -- 3600/strips, 1-5999. 2. Two (2) each of 1-5999 -- E-test Applicator Kit and 1-6000 -- E-test Storage Tubes. 3. One (1) each of 1-5991 -- Vacuum Pen Applicator & Access. These E-test strips are required for testing Campylobacter isolates in the National Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring System which monitors the susceptibility of the foodborne pathogens; Salmonella, Campylobacter and E. coli 0157:H7, to drugs used to treat these infections in people. These strips are unique in that it have been used for testing since incorporation of campylobacter in the monitoring program in 1997 and are the only means of obtaining Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) data that is comparable with previous years' data.
