R -- DEVELOPMENT OF STATE HEALTH WORKFORCE PROFILE SOL HRSA 230-BHPr-26(9) DUE 073099 POC Lorah Tidwell 301-443-5128 The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the Center for Health Workforce Studies University at Albany, One University Place, Rensselaer, New York 12144-3456 to develop a comprehensive data profile including an electronic database of the health professions workforce at both state and national level. This contract will build upon and expand a document, "State Health Personnel Handbook: Data for the Fifty States" that was produced by the Center. This work provides a critical foundation and level of experience in the arena of health workforce data at the state level which is required for the success of this project. In addition, the Center has developed an extensive network of contacts at the state level, primarily among those individuals working in health workforce data collection and analysis, which will contribute greatly to the development of a comprehensive health workforce data profile for each state and the U.S. within the project period.
