Wilgus, Contracting Officer, (301) 402-3070 The National Insstitutes of Health (NIH) is soliciting contractual support for the management, personnel, materials and vehicles necessary for the receipt, examination, certification, and delivery to various locations at NIH of radioactive material shipments. Packaging opening and processing procedures involve: (1) certification that the package contents comply with the order; (2) examination for gross damage or leakage; (3) verification of radioactivity contamination and measurement of exposure rates from packages; (4) recordation of results; (5) repackaging for delivery to various locations on the NIH Bethesda, MD campus and specified off-campus locations. The resultant contract will be for a period of one year with four successive twelve month option periods. This requirementus 100% set-aside for small businesses. To enable firms to determine their size as required for this requirement, the small business size standard is a concern, including its affiliates, having average annual sales or receipts for its past three fiscal years not in excess of $5 million.
