Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contemplates award of
a one year task order contract with four one-year option periods as an
as-needed mechanism to provide the Office on Smoking and Health (OSH)
with training and technical assistance support for tobacco control
which will involve developing short-term and long-term training plans
for the tobacco control program; conducting or coordinating training
meetings; designing tobacco control training materials; providing
recommendations on distance based learning; and providing assistance to
States, Territories and Tribes for planning State-based training. The
nature, scope and complexity of specific work requirements will vary,
consistent with the scope of the statement of work, and will be
clarified via individual Task Orders. The date specified for receipt of
offers will be approximately 30 days after the RFP issue date. Requests
for copies of the RFP must be in writing and must cite the RFP number.
Telephone requests will not be accepted. All responsible sources may
submit a proposal which will be considered. A wage determination has
not been requested since the place of performance is unknown. Requests
for wage determinations for possible places of performance must be in
writing and received by July 30, 1999. See Numbered Note 26. Posted
