Family Housing Replacement (60 Units) Phase 3, Beale AFB, California.
This proposed Unrestricted. JOB DESCRIPTION: The project consists of
the demolition of fourteen buildings totaling 70 multiplex family
housing units which include asbestos and lead base paint abatement.
Additionally, site restoration and the construction of 60 two-bedroom
units is required. The design includes, but is not limited to, site
grading, new utility systems and roads, electric heating and cooling,
energy efficient lighting and appliances, dualpane energy efficient
windows, hard wired smoke detectors, ground fault receptacles,
landscaping, recreation areas, single-car garages, driveways, street
lighting, utility services, storm drainage, and walks. SIC CODE: This
procurement will be conducted under SIC code: 1522. The size standard
for this SIC code is: $17,000,000.00. DESIGN/BUILD: This is a
design/build project; the offeror chosen will complete the design and
construct the facility. The acquisition method is negotiated
procurement. A technical and cost proposal will be required. Evaluation
by the Government will result in selection of a firm that represents
the best advantage to the Government. Large businesses competing for
this project must comply with the FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the
requirement for a subcontracting plan on the part of the work it
intends to subcontract. The recommended goals for subcontracting are
62.0% for small business, 10% for small disadvantaged business, and 5%
for small business/woman-owned. A firm that submits a plan with lesser
goals must submit written rationale to support goals submitted.
Estimated cost is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. For more
