On or about 6/17/99, this office will issue a Request for Proposal for construction of Main Office at Washington MO. Proposals will be opened on 7/16/99 at 3:00 PM. THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC PROPOSAL OPENING. The value of the work is estimated to be between $2,250,000.00 and $2,750,000.00. Description of the work is the project consists of construction of a one-story, steel frame building of approximately 19,000 gsf which includes retail, workroom and support areas, a covered mail platform, carrier loading slabs, and paved maneuvering areas. The site is located in Washington, MO, on the southwest corner of the intersection of Missouri Highway 100 and the recently constructed Washington Crossing which is west of Highway 47. The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete within 330 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be accessed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. There will be a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
