This solicitation is set aside for the Small Business Administration Section 8(a) program for eligible firms within the Washington DC, Baltimore MD and Richmond VA District Office areas. The SIC Code is 1711 for Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning. There is a cost of $10 per set for this solicitation. This charge is nonrefundable. To request this solicitation, submit a company check payable to U. S. Treasury and send to the Defense Printing Service Detachment Office, Building 21, Washington Navy Yard, 901 M Street, S.E., Washington, DC 20374, Attn: Kevin Gable. Any other questions regading this solicitation shall be referred to Ms Sharon Cusic, Contract Specialist, in writing, by FAX (202) 685-8236. This is an indefinite quantity construction contract. This solicitation will be competed among eligible Section 8(a) firms. Upon determination of the successful offeror, SBA will provide a notice of eligibility of the firm's status to the procuring office. A single award will be made. The work shall include installing, removing, relocating, replacing, rebuilding and overhauling of backflow preventer assemblies. In accordance with FAR Clause 52.236-1, contractors will be requird to perform 50% of the work with its own organization. The contract will be for one year with options to extend up to two additional years. Offers will be evaluated on price and other non-priced related criteria. The following evaluation criteria will be required: (1) relevant experience; (2) project staffing; and (3) past performance with Subfactor (1) quality, workmanship and scheduling and Subfactor and (2) safety and health information. The estimated cost range of this procurement is $1 million per year or $3 million total for the base year and options. Award will cite a guaranteed minimum of $50,000.
