Park Service plans to issue a solicitation for a shuttle bus operation
at Zion National Park, Utah. The shuttle bus system will be comprised
of approximately 30 buses and 20 trailers, and will operate for a
seven month period each year. it will start in May 2000. The route will
be approximately seven miles inside the park and seven miles through
the town of Springdale. We anticipate a five year service contract,
with an additional five option years. The Park Service owns the
vehicles and the maintenence facility. The contractor will operate the
shuttle bus system, including drivers, mechanic's, dispatchers, and
managers. If you replied to our CBD notice for sources sought of May 7,
or if you were at the pre-solicitation meeting in Las Vegas on June 9,
you will be sent a copy of the solicitation. If not, and you are
