THIS SOLICITATION IS RESTRICTED TO GENERAL CONTRACTORS PREVIOUSLY PRE-QUALIFIED UNDER SOLICITATION 193045-98-A-0534 OR 193045-99-A-0131. On or about 6/24/99, this office will issue a Request for Proposal for alternate quarters renovations at Lowry City MO. Proposals will be opened on 7/23/99 at 3:00 PM. THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC PROPOSAL OPENING. The value of the work is estimated to be between $1000,000 and $125.000. Description of the work is: Project is to include conversion of existing leased building and parking areas as shown on the survey for use as a postal facility. Work will include, but not be limited to the following: demolition, earthwork, site improvements & paving, concrete, wood structure, sheet metal, masonry, wood stud partitions, metal framing, insulation, gypsym board walls and ceilings, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, custom cabinets and fixtures, carpentry, glass storefront system, painting, metal doors, wood doors, metal frames, door hardware, sectional overhead doors, toilet accessories, signage, loading dock equipment, electrical, and HVAC work.. The contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed and complete within 120 calendar days. Liquidated damages will be accessed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. There will be a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
