Thompson 253 589 4027 This is a solicitation notice for a proposed construction contract for the slab to slab renovation of the first and second floors of Building 61 at the American Lake Division of the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. The Va is seeking a general contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision for the proposed contract. Work will include, but is not limited to, the following: demolition, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, interior walls, various interior finishes, and replacement of exterior windows. There will be a pre-bid site inspection on July 21, 1999 at 1 PM in Building 17 Room 110 at the American Lake Division, Tacoma, WA. Contract completion time will be 420 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Work will be completed in two sequential phases with a VA activation period following the first phase. Estimated cost range is $2,000,000 to $5,000,000. The VA anticipates awarding firm, fixed price contract. This will not be a small business set aside solicitation.
