The work consists of constructing a ditch and settling pond for dewatering contaminated site, permanently rerouting existing stream channel, grading tailings and constructing a cap for the tailings consisting of a capillary brake, soil cover and vegetation. The mine tailing are contaminated with arsenic, cadmium, lead and zinc. Project site is located at the Cleveland Mine Site, located near Hunters, Washington in the Spokane District. Project range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Estimated start work is September 16, 1999 and performance time is 365calendar days.
