Warfare Center Weapons Division, Point Mugu, CA is soliciting
competitive proposals for a Microwave Power Module (MPM) Amplifier,
operating in the E/F-Band Frequency. The MPM is a miniaturized, linear,
continuous wave high power amplifier and shall contain an integral
power conditioner. The MPM shall be capable of instantaneous covering
of the 2.0 to 6.0 GHz frequency region and producing rated power levels
between 50 and 100 Watts. The MPM shall be capable of providing a fixed
small signal gain between 55 and 65 decibels and shall meet stringent
gain flatness, thermal noise, spectral purity and harmonic
requirements. In addition, the MPM shall provide an enhanced prime
power efficiency sufficient to meet rated output power requirements
when supplied with the limited prime power listed in the specification.
The MPM shall be cooled by a self-contained forced system and shall
meet stringent form factor and weight requirements. The MPM shall meet
specified reliability requirements and operate while subjected to the
environmental conditions encountered in small subscale aerial
vehicles. The MPM shall meet all of the performance requirements
specified in NAWCWD Performance Specification 13672-TS637E and NAVAIR
Drawing 1611AS479. First Article Testing is required and will not be
waived. The contract will be for 1 each First Article Unit, 1 lot First
Article Testing, 3 each Initial Order Production Units, 120 IDIQ
Production Units, 2 each Engineering Manuals, and 1 lot Technical Data.
Delivery of First Article Unit shall be 45 days after approval of First
Article Test Report. The First Article Test report shall be submitted
no later than 330 days after issuance of delivery order which will be
issued concurrent with contract award. Delivery of initial order
Production Units shall be at a minimum rate of 2 each per month to
commence no later than 300 days after approval of the First Article
Test Report. Engineering Manuals shall be delivered 90 days after
acceptance of the First Article Unit. Delivery of IDIQ Production Units
shall be at a minimum rate of 2 each per month to commence no later
than 300 days after issuance of delivery order. Delivery of all units
shall be FOB Destination, Naval Air Station, Point Mugu, CA. The
solicitation will be issued on or about 8 JUL 1999 and will be
available electronically through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home page
