Potential Sources Sought. The U. S. Army Simulation, Training and
Instrumentation Command (STRICOM) is seeking information from industry
concerning the availability of Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement
System (MILES)-type Tactical Engagement Simulation Systems (TESS), to
include such products as Basic MILES, SAWE-RF, MILES II, MILES 2000,
and AGES, as well as similar-type products. Previous CBD announcement
PSA-2295 dated 4 March 1999 requested white papers from industry
concerning the availability of non-developmental training devices for
live force on force training capability. Information received from that
announcement and this notice will be used as one of several factors in
determining the acquisition strategy for a potential competitive
solicitation for a follow-on contract to the current MILES 2000 TESS
contract. The Government has posted a series of questions concerning
this potential solicitation at the Follow-On MILES 2000 home page.
Request all interested parties access that site and respond to the
questions within 15 days of the date of the publication of this
announcement. The responses should be unclassified, concise, and
specific. This is not a request for proposals and the information
contained herein is for planning purposes only. No additional
information is available, respondents will not be notified of the
evaluation of the information they provided, and telephone calls are
not requested. Posted 06/18/99 (W-SN344624). (0169) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0339 19990622\69-0002.SOL)
