Option #1: Demolition and removal of Building 20 floors, foundations and associated fill. Option #2: Demolition of Building 26 and associated asbestos abatement and removal and disposal of PCB's, less floors and foundations. Option #3: Demolition and removal of Building 26 floors foundations and associated fill. Option #4: Demolition of Buildings 17 and 46 and associated asbestos abatement (Building 17 only). Option #5: Demolition of Buildings 22, 28, 44, and 51 and associated asbestos abatement. Option #6: Demolition of portion of Building 30 and associated asbestos abatement and removal and disposal of PCB's less floors and foundations. Option #7: Demolition and removal of portion of Building 30 floors and foundations. Base and all options total approximately 277,340 square feet. Structures consist of masonry block walls and either wood or steel columns, trusses, beams, and purlins or reinforced concrete columns and beams, and wood or metal or reinforced concrete roof decks. Floors and foundations are reinforced concrete. Foundations include either continuous reinforced concrete walls at perimeter and firewalls, and interior reinforced concrete column footings or woodpiles with reinforced concrete caps. Space below elevated floors is earth filled. Abatement of asbestos pipe insulation, floor tile, transite board, caulk and other joint fillers required prior to demolition. Lead paint is present on walls, columns, trusses, window frames, and doors. PCB's are present in transformers, circuit breakers, capacitors, and fluorescent light ballast. Demolition includes removal of two gasoline/diesel dispensing pumps with two above ground furel storage tanks (2,000 gallon and 4,000 gallon) and associated underground connecting pipes. Liquidated Damages are included in the contract and bonding is required. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of the contract. Instructions will be included in the Solicitation. Contract solicitation documents will be provided on CD-ROM only. One copy of the plans and specifications will be furnished on CD-ROM to each bidder at no charge. All requests for a solicitation package should be in writing and sent to the attention of Joseph Bujnowski. Requests may also be faxed to 215-656-6780 or 215-656-6798. Bidders will be responsible for paper copies. Issue date for solicitation documents will be on or about 15 July 1999 with a bid opening date of 17 August 1999 at 1:30 p.m. Additional copies of the CD-ROM will be provided at a charge of $5.00 each. All requests for additional copies of the CD-ROM should be in writing along with a company check which must include your Federal Tax Identification Number, or a Personal Check with Social Security Number or a Driver's License or Money Order, all made payable to "USACE Finance Center, Millington". Payment will not be refunded and CD's need not be returned. Please provide a physical street address, telephone number and fax number. Completion time for the project is 150 calendar days.
