19 -- FISHERIES RESRACH VESSEL The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) seeks industry comment on the DRAFT solicitation, the DRAFT Statement of Requirements, including Project Peculiar Documents and arrangement drawings and a DRAFT Data Requirements List (DRL) for the detail design and construction of a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Forty Day Endurance Fisheries Research Vessel (FRV-40). The solicitation will cover one FRV-40 ship with options for three more ships in the following three years. The documents will be posted in the near future to the "Fisheries Research Vessel" page under the "Information Documents" section of the NAVSEA Contracts Home Page at http://www.contracts.hq.navsea.navy.mil. Interested firms are encouraged to provide input concerning technical aspects of the FRV documents, as well as comments and recommendations concerning the acquisition approach, contracting considerations and documentation requirements. Active industry involvement is sought for refining the current approach and contributing to overall future program success. Comments are requested within 30 days from the date the subject information is posted on the website to allow sufficient time for inclusion in the solicitation process. For administration, submit all comments and recommendations electronically via instructions on the FRV-40 Q&A System link provided at the website. The Government may choose not to respond to each individual comment or recommendation, but will provide feedback to areas of interest by posting comments, recommendations and responses to the website. Comments and recommendations will be held as business sensitive and will not be accessible until posted for publication. Company specific information will be omitted from all information posted.
