Principal items to be accomplished are: Trim trees, clear shrubs, and brush, under, going into, and away from power, telephone and cable lines in various locations. All power tree trimming that occurs within eight (8) feet of energized power lines must be supervised by a journeyman lineman or a person who has worked at least 18 months under an OSHA certified line clearance training program and has evidence that he/she is a qualified line clearance tree trimmer. All vehicles and equipment used to trim trees in the vicinity of power lines shall meet the safety requirements as outlined in WAC 296-45-660, Electrical Workers Safety Rules, Tree Trimming.
