208-373-4133 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial
items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as
supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being
requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a
Request for Quotation number 2QR4-093-99. The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 97-11. Set aside for small businesses -- SIC: 3792
Size Standard: 500. Line item as follows: Furnish two self-contained
travel trailers with standard hitch to the Boise National Forest,
Boise, ID in accordance with the following specifications: DELIVERY
shall be FOB destination within 14 calendar days after notice of award.
OVERALL DIMENSIONS of the trailers should be -- Height: 8'-11'
exterior, 78" interior, Width: 96", Length: 26'-36', Ball Size:
2-5/16", Hitch Weight: not to exceed 800 pounds. SLEEPING AREAS
shallhave capacity for up to four occupants with at least two sleeping
areas. Sleeping areas shall be furnished as follows: Back bedroom with
two twin beds and one pull out sofa/bed combo. FLOORS shall be
vinyl/linoleum throughout the trailers. BATH AREA shall have LP water
heater with 6 gallon minimum capacity, shower and tub combo with
minimum 40 gallon grey water holding tank, marine toilet with 40 gallon
minimum waste tank, potable water tank with 12-volt pump; 35-40 gallon
capacity. GALLEY AREA shall have a front located kitchen, combination
electric/LP refrigerator/freezer; double door, extra large 22" range
with broiler oven, 12-volt range hood with light and fan, double galley
sink with covers, free standing dinette, pantry.
HEATING/COOLING/ELECTRICAL shall have auto ignition furnace with
thermostat and duct heat equal to 25m btu's, 12-volt electrical system
with a 110v/12v AC/DC converter and battery charger, flourescent
lighting, patio receptacle, 12v patio light, ground fault interrupter.
EXTERIOR shall have tandem axles, staight design, inverted for maximum
clearance, dual safety chains, minimum 26" wide entry door with screen
(if only one door, emergency exit window is required), flush mount
entry door with deadbolt lock, roof vents, one piece rubber roof, 15
inch tires, dual batteries, spare tire, electrictl plug and circuitry
for towing, structural steel chassis, hardwall exterior walls, R18
insulation in ceiling, 2" by 3" floor, electrical brakes on all 4
wheels, freeze resistant 1/2 inch water lines. MINIMUM ACCESSORIES
include a smoke alarm, Gas/CO2 indicator, fire extinguisher, GFCI
circuit protection, spare tire cover, rear bumper with sewer hose
storage, retractable door step, microwave ready, monitor panel, AM/FM
stereo, spare tire carrier, semi automatic winterization system.
WARRANTY: dealers will be required to furnish a warranty for materials
and workmanship for 12 months from date of purchase. Include all
product literature with your quotes. The following FAR clauses apply to
this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial
