synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is
M00681-99-T-0196 and this is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This
solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect
through FAC 97-11 and DAC 91-13 . This is a 100% small business set
aside under simplified acquisition procedures; the standard industrial
code is 5211 and the small business size standard is $5 million. The
requirement is for a fixed priced contract. The procurement is for fire
rated panels: To be Wamok-Hersey model FD series flush mounted access
or equal. Specifications are: To facilitate installation in wall
construction, frames are equipped with masonry strap anchors and bolt
holes. The door panel has 2" (5.1cm) of insulation in a sandwich type
construction. The FS Series access door is practical for use when
reduction in sound transmission through access opening is required.
Model FD can be installed in fire rated walls or ceilings and maintain
the fire barrier rating. These panels carry the underwriters
laboratories 1 hour "B" label rating for wall applications, and the
Warnock Hersey label for three hour noncombustible for/ceiling
assemblies. Materials include: Frame; 16 gauge (0,15 cm) steel, door 29
gauge (0.09 cm) steel, finish; gray backed enamel prime coat #4 satin
finish stainless steel . Hinge; continuous hinge mounted on the long
side of oblong panels. Latch; universal latch mechanism can be
converted between turn ring and key lock on the field and is recessed
to allow for wall covering to be applied over panel face with no
obstruction. Includes interior latch release device for unlocking door
from inside. Packaging; one panel per carton. Automatic closing spring
closer on all size panels assures positive latching of closing door. A
second spring is included for ceiling applications on sizes 16"x16"
(40.6cm) through 24"x36" (61cm x 91.4cm) and must be used to maintain
the ceiling fire rating of these sizes. Quantity: 378 each. All
responsible sources may submit an offer by providing descriptive
literature of how your equipment meets the needs of the Government,
past performance of at least two recent references where the contractor
has sold the same products. Completion of DFARS 252.225-7035. The
Government will evaluate the technical capability of the product to
meet the Government's needs, warranty, delivery, and price. All
Contractors submitting an offer are reminded that you must be
registered in the Central Contractor Registration database to be

Pendleton, CA 92055-5027. Offers are solicited FOB destination only to
Camp Pendleton, CA. Award date is anticipated to be made on 02 July
1999 and delivery is required for all items on or before 09 July 1999.
