Nelson, Contracting Officer, (202) 707-8610 The Library of Congress has a requirement for conversion of serial holdings from manual files into a new automated system. There are approximately 900,000 manual file entries for serials that require conversion. This requirement includes conversion of holdings data for active and inactive titles from three Serial Record card files (Visible File, 3x5 file, and microform file) and the serials sheet shelflist and creation of MARC 21 holdings records. Work will be performed on-site at the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C., and it is anticipated this manual transfer will be completed within three years of the initation of the work.
