Project consists of installation of a Utility Control System (UCS) and peak shaving generator to save energy and increase maintenance efficiency by automatically setting back and shutting off heating and electrical systems according to a preprogrammed schedule for facilities. The UCS will be connected by Data Transmission Media (DTM)or FM radio transmission to 37 buildings, main electrical substation, sewage lift station and neew peak shaving generator. The local operator consoles will be located at Fort Story Directorate of Engineering and Housing (DEH) and Navy Department of Public Works (DPW) buildings. A remote operator's console will be connected at the DEH on Fort Eustis via commercial telephone lines, which will serve Fort Story's off duty hours operation. Duration of the project is 360 calendar days. Project is estimated between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Requirement will be available by CD Rom ONLY. Cost of the CD Rom is $12.50.
