The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this project is 1623 Water, Sewer, Pipeline, and Communications and Powerline Construction. The size standard is $17.0 Million. The work includes the replacement of all existing high pressure steam and condensate distribution piping between manhole MH-25 and MH-26 at the "main side" of Quantico Marine Corps Base. Manhole #25 will be rebuilt in its entirety while Manhole #26 will be repainted. Asbestos insulation is present on the piping and will need to be properly removed, contained and disposed of. The projected date of availability of the solicitation is 05 July 1999. The projected bid opening date is 12 August 1999.
