The United States Air Force is requesting proposals to relocate an existing 12.47 Kv aerial power distribution system to an underground duct and manhole system at New Boston Air Station in Amherst, NH. The project involves all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and performance of all operations required to complete the aforementioned work in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The principal items of work include, but are not limited to, excavation for and construction of approximately 3,000 linear feet of 6 or 3 inch power ductline and 3,000 linear feet of 4 or 2 inch communication ductline complete with 18 combination manholes, new wire being pulled and all the necessary taps, splices, and risers accomplished. It also includes the provision and installation of three new padmounted transformers. The switch over to the new underground system must be carefully scheduled and coordinated as the project is on a mission critical facility. Existing aerial service will then be removed. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
