jwarren3@email.usps.gov. The US Postal Service is seeking services for
the performance of general architectural and engineering services for
repair and alteration projects for the Springfield District's area of
responsibility which covers Western Massachusetts and The state of
Vermont. The contract will be subject to negotiation of individual work
orders. In each instance total fees for services will not exceed
$100,000 for each task, nor will the total fees for the 12 month term
exceed $500,000. The contract will be for two years with three one-year
renewal options which can bring the duration of the contract to five
years. The amount of work for the duration of the contract (5 years)
shall not exceed $2,500,000. There is no guaranteed minimum. The work
order estimates range from $2000 to $10,000. Firms (with the use of
their consultants) must have on their staffing the following registered
disciplines, who must be registered in the states of Massachusetts and
Vermont: Architect, Mechanical and Electrical Engineer. Consideration
will be given to interested firms who respond to this advertisement in
accordance with the foregoing instructions in the following order of
preference: 1)local, residing in Western Massachusetts and/or Vermont;
2) All others. Firms will be considered as local only if their office
is in the area listed previously, or they have a local independently
operated branch office, and all of the design, coordination, and
management of the project will be accomplished in that office. It is
prohibited to pay any fee, commission, percentage or brokerage fee to
any person or firm contingent upon, or resulting from award of a
contract. The USPS reserves the right to select more than one firm.
Firms which possess the qualifications to perform the services
described are invited to submit a completed SF255, Architect-Engineer
Questionnaire for a Specific Project, and a SF254, Architect-Engineer
and Related Services Questionnaire to the address listed
previously.Proposals are due on Friday, July 23, 1999 at 3:00 PM EST.
