dixie_sparks@nps.gov. The National Park Service intends to award a sole
source contract to HRS Water Consultants for developing a ground water
model of Sand Creek aquifer-stream system at Great Sand Dunes National
Monument in south central Colorado (San Luis Valley), to include know
documented aspects of flow system; calibrate model to observed volumes;
determine how changes in initial depth to water in the unconfined
aquifer beneath the steam affect the length of live flow in the stream.
Contractor must be completely familiar with San Luis Valley water
history. This proposed action is for services for which the Government
intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the
authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest
and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is
not a request for competitive proposals; however, all expressions of
interest received within 30 calendar days of the date of publication of
this sysnopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by
the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon
responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the
government. Information received in response to this notice will be
used solely for the purpose of determing whether to conduct a
competitive procurement. The work consists of developing a model;
sensitivity analysis; and final report/data analysis. The job site is
in Great Sand Dunes National Monument, Mosca, CO. The estimated price
range for the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Posted 06/22/99
