This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items issued by the Contracting Office, Offutt AFB, NE and prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation number F25600-99-Q5303 is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The government intends to issue a purchase order for CLIN 0001 BATTERIES: (64) each, UPS Batteries for 3450 Exide System, 30-minute runtime, 150kVA of critical load on (3) 52_ 4-tier racks. MFG: Exide P/N: SLF-12205 or equal. CLIN 0002 SERVICES, NON-PERSONAL: Contractor to provide all items necessary to perform the following services at Offutt AFB, NE. A. Deinstall, remove and recycle existing Exide wet cell battery plant. B. Install new batteries and racks. C. Connect to existing battery buss in 3J. D. Test UPS with new battery plant. E. Reinstall OpalPort battery monitor to new batteries. All work shall be performed as specified by the Original Equipment Manufacture. A site visit can be arranged, if requested.
