Deborah A. Bittner, Deborah.A.Bittner.1@gsfc.nasa.gov. NASA/GSFC plans
to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for 1 each Spectravideo 16-bit
Digital Camera System, Pixel Vision Part No. SV10CDJULM-04FQ-98. This
camera will have back illuminated UVAR coated; 1024 x 1024 CCD w/3
stage TE cooled; 24 micron pixels and 4 output amplifiers; lynxpci
fiber optic interface and pixelview software for Windows NT; and have
a readout rate programmable from 50 kps to 500 kps. This procurement is
being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).
NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Pixel Vision, Beaverton,
OR 97006. The CCD camera head is the smallest camera head on the market
that meets all the requirements for this system. No other available

that is packaged with a Thermoelectric Cooler (TEC) is available. This
camera head is also required in order to properly mount a linear
variable filter array as close to the detector surface as possible.
This camera system is compatiblewith existing test equipment and
software. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR
Part 12. Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this
synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their
qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be
used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct
this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the
15 days or without the required information will be considered
nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A
determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on
a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice
is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications
