Callahan, 202/502-2330/Contracting Officer This is a notification of intent to procure on a sole source basis with BEA System's Tuxedo to acquire additional licensing for BEA Systems' Tuxedo software and associated maintenance support including software upgrades and technical assistance. The vendor will provide 1000 concurrent and 3000 non-concurrent user licenses that will be spread over 100 servers. The vendor will provide both server and client software. The licenses will be acquired over a period of five years and be distributed to the various district courts. A solicitation is not available. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Responses shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
