R -- FOCUS GROUPS SOL 67-9-7455 POC Linda Catterton (301)457-1840 The Bureau of the Census intends to issue a sole source contract to Lisboa Associates, 1317 F Street, NW, Washington DC 20004 to develop and host a series of six focus groups. These focus groups will include the members of the following audiences: trade associations with members engaged in foreign trade, law firms specilizing in foreign trade, manufacturers/exporters (small-sized exporters) and manufacturers/exporters (medium-sized exporters). The trade association and law firm focus groups will be held in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The remainder will take place in different US cities yet to be named. Because of their past performance in conducting focus groups for the Bureau of the Census and their familiarily with FTD products and services, it would be to the government's advantage to sole source this requirement to Lisboa Associates. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement no greater than 15 days from the published date of this announcement to the above address. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements.
