THE TENTH ANNUAL OAK RIDGE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES CONFERENCE Oak Ridge Regional Business Opportunities Conference The tenth annual Oak Ridge Regional Business Opportunities Conference is set for Thursday, August 12, 1999, at Oak Ridge High School. The Conference, sponsored by the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Department of Energy Oak Ridge Operations, focuses on new contracting opportunities in the region around Oak Ridge and Knoxville. This year's theme is "Oak Ridge -- Moving Business into the Future." Attendees will be able to explore specific opportunities on a one-on-one basis with technical and purchasing representatives. Concurrent training seminars will focus on issues relevant to small, small disadvantaged, and woman-owned businesses. Participants will also have the opportunity to register and learn to use Pro-Net, an electronic gateway of procurement information for and about small business. Conference registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 7:15 a.m. followed by presentations by various contractors throughout the region. Training seminars will be held in the afternoon, and the conference will end by 4 p.m. Registration will be limited to 300 participants this year. Early registration fee (before July 31) will be $125 per person; pre-registration (August 1-11) will be $150 per person; and on-site registration will be $250 per person.
