provide all plant, labor, equipment, materials, and transportation and
perform all required work in accordance with the plans and
specifications for motorpool washrack modifications at Tactical
Equipment Shops at Fort Riley, Kansas. The required work includes but
is not limited to: Demolition of existing washrack and/or pavement
areas with associated utilities; construction of portland cement
concrete pavement, curbs, and sediment basins for new washracks;
construction of water service and distribution to the new washracks;
construction of industrial sewer main and connections to existing
industrial sewer system; construction of electrical distribution,
panelboards, and electrical service to the washracks; removal and
reconstruction of chain link security fence where required to
accommodate the new construction; maintenance of work area(s) in neat,
orderly and safe condition during the course of the work, and clean up
of work area(s) at the end of each workday and upon completion of the
work. To minimize the impact on tracked vehicle maintenance the
construction of the new platforms will be done in two phases. The first
phase will entail demolition of approximately half the existing
washracks and construction of four platform bays and the oil storage
platform. The second phase will entail demolition of the remainder of
the existing washracks and construction of the remaining four platform
bays. The estimated cost is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
Proposed contract will be a firm fixed price contract with option
items. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for this
project is 1629. The small business size standard for the project is
$17.0M. The proposed contracted listed herein is unrestricted. THE
