Work shall consist of removal and replacement of existing heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment, including all related piping, ductwork, electrical power and control work. The removal and replacement of existing built-up roofing at the central portion of the roof of the building. Also, the removal of asbestos and lead-based paint where such occurs in the areas of work described above. The Asbestos/Lead-based Paint Sampling Report and the specifications and drawings will specify work in detail. The project site will be occupied by base personnel during the construction period. Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 1542. The magnitude of this project is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The total contract performance period is 330 calendar days after issuance of notice to proceed. The successful contractor will be selected using performance/price tradeoff procedures resulting in the Best Value to the Government. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about the 21 Jul 99 on the Government_s Electronic Posting System (EPS) at www.eps.gov. Paper copies are not available.
