54 -- CONCRETE STORAGE SHELTERS SOL NAAJ8320900239JAS POC Jackie Shewmaker (816) 426-7129, ext. 221 The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to procure prefabricated reinforced concrete storage shelters for the National Weather Service (NWS) at twelve (12) locations in the central, north-central and eastern United States, with an option to purchase four (4) additional shelters. The buildings are approximately 400 square feet, with basic construction consisting of monolithic concrete walls, floor and roof. The size shall be approximately 20' OD x 20' OD, and most of the building shall have an exposed aggregate exterior wall finish. The interior shall be finished, with a heating and cooling system and electrical panel provided. The units shall be transportable over the highway and set-up on site. The building sites will be readied by the NWS for off-loading by offeror. The foundations will be provided by the NWS and constructed to the specifications of the offeror. The NWS will provide and connect the electrical service to the shelters. Deliver oneunit each to the following locations: Lincoln, IL; Dodge City, KS; Goodland, KS; Green Bay, WI; LaCrosse, WI; Milwaukee, WI; Pueblo, CO; Springfield, MO; Sioux Falls, SD; Brookhaven, NY; Portland, ME; and Morehead City, N.C. This requirement is being solicited under the authority of FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisitions. Concerns having the ability to furnish pre-fabricated concrete shelters manufactured to the requirements of the NWS Specifications are required to submit a request for a copy of the Solicitation to the procuring office listed in this notice within 15 calendar days from the date of this synopsis.
