The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends toaward, on a sole source basis to CMS Defense Systems, 1410 White Drive, P. O. Box 5990, Titusville, FL 32783, a contract for development of CMS's Low Observable Signature Ejection Technology (LOSET). The contract will require development of the LOSET for incorporation into the Shoulder Launched Multipurpose Assault Weapon Follow On to SMAW Program. This incorporation will enhance the present SMAW system by reducing blast overpressure thus allowing the weapon to be safely fired from enclosed spaces such as bunkers and rooms. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Procurement Division is implementing Electronic Commerce (EC)in the acquisition area; therefore, synopsis and resulting solicitations with any applicable amendments will be available only on the World Wide Webb at http://www.nswc.navy.mil/supply.
